JOAN Portal Home
When logging intot he JOAN portal, you are presented with the Dashboard which gives you a quick snapshot of your JOAN environment, including number of devices, battery status and WiFi strength.
JOAN Portal Calendar
When first configuring JOAN, you need to select your calendar type – JOAN supports Google Calendar / Google Suit, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Office 365, CollegeNET 25Live and Apple iCal.

Once you select you calendar type, you can set the account and domain that JOAN will use to access calendar information.
JOAN Portal Global Device Settings
JOAN allows you to control device settings at multiple levels. The default settings are organisation wide, giving you full control over how your devices are configured.
JOAN Portal Organisation
You can set basic details for your organisation and also upload your branding / company logo which will be displayed on the JOAN devices.

You can also set Organisation wide settings for business hours which control the power saving features of the JOAN devices and set localisation details.

JOAN Portal Devices
You can get a quick overview of all the devices in your oganisation, allowing you to manage your existing devices or add new ones.
JOAN Portal Device Details
You can edit the device details for each individual device, allowing you to quickly and easily assign a device to a room, set device specific features which override the organisation and building settings as well as configure custom buttons on the devices for use with WebHooks and QR Codes.
JOAN Portal Custom Content
One of hte great new features from JOAN is the Custom Content feature.
With support for both images and text, this feature allows you to use your JOAN devices to broadcast messages out to your staff as well as indicate for example if a room is out of use for maintenance.

The calendar integration allows you to import rooms directly or add them manually, as well as see which building they are in.

The buildings feature allows you to group and manage your JOAN devices on a per building basis.

The building details page lets you configure settings for your JOAN devices on a per building basis, allowing you to configure local timezones, business hours and other settings for the devices located in a particular building.
